언제 처음봤었는지 기억조차 가물가물하다.
좀 특이한 case인지는 몰라도 나는 만화책보다 animation으로 먼저 접했었다.
VHS로 떠돌아 다니던 그것들의 화질이란, 지금 떠돌아다니는 cam version divx file보다도 더 조악한 화면을 자랑했었다.
그 화질좋다던 LD에서 copy했음에도 불구하고 말이다.
당근 자막이란건 꿈도 꾸지 못했지만, 머 내용이야 두세번보면 대충 감잡는 것 이었고.

얼마전에 우연치않게 TV Series의 주제가, 삽입곡을 모아놓은 City Hunter Dramatic Master 란 놈을 구하게 되었다.
(물론 CD로 구한건 아니다.)
거의 10여년만에 그 때의 노래들을 다시 들어보니 꽤 재밌다.
머 10여년 전 노래들이다보니, sound나 code 진행도 좀 촌스러운 구석이 있고.
(어디까지나 유행가 아니던가. cowboy bebob이랑은 애시당초 비교를 하지말자.)
일하면서 실행시켜놨는데, 주제곡을 따라서 흥얼거리는 내 모습을 보며 약간 놀랐다.

Dramatic Master and DM II are compiliations of songs from City Hunter 1-3. DM II also contains instrumentals. The lyrics booklet also contains Japanese translations for the 3 English vocals. The first track after each "Scene" header starts with drama leading into the song; the end of the drama overlaps the beginning. Track 8 is not recorded in other City Hunter CDs.
